We are very proud to announce that Wilfried Peeters will be in charge of the competition category this year.
Wilfried Peeters, known to many as “The Fit”, was a Belgian cyclist known for his presence in many spring classics before taking up a role as sports director with SoudalQuickstepTeam. During his pro career, he rode 33 classics and won Gent-Wevelgem, one of the most prestigious one-day races on the calendar.
He started his career when he was 15, becoming a professional in 1986. He rode with several teams, including Mapei-GB from 1995 to 2000. He followed Patrick Lefèvre for a long time in his cycling career and now as a great team manager.
His cycling experience as team captain still helps him as sports director.
