Catering and Bivaks with a thousand stars
Two of the things our organisation is known for is great ambience in super-bivouacs and excellent catering. Our kitchen brigade has been making it its own challenge since the very beginning, with top-notch catering in a very unique setting.
The charm of desert bivouacs
An extreme challenge involves bivouacs. Spending the night in the desert under thousands of stars, on a vast plain or on the edge of the dunes of Merzouga, is an unforgettable experience. A little bit of suffering is part of the adventure, but that doesn't mean we will plop you down somewhere unkempt in the wilderness. At the start and finish of RocDuMaroc you will be in a nice hotel, everyone together. The days in between we stay in atmospheric bivouacs, each time in a new, unique location.
The bivouacs are an authentic experience. They all feature the same pop-up tents and here and there a large, traditional Moroccan mountain tent where you can catch your breath from the day's experiences and where food is served. Each location has showers with hot water and European toilets. Both showers and toilets are continuously cleaned by a local staff.
’In the evening, we light a big campfire, play some nice music and the stories can come out. At the bar, you can get a Belgian beer or a cold soft drink at very reasonable prices.
