🏋️‍♂️ Physical Preparation – The Key to Success

Proper preparation is absolutely crucial if you want to participate in an extreme mountain bike endurance event like RocDuMaroc.

Pushing your limits is one thing – but being able to enjoy the adventure along the way is something else entirely. Those who arrive at the start line well-prepared will experience the event much more intensely and significantly increase their chances of reaching the finish line.

📆 Start Early – At Least 4 Months in Advance
Begin structured training at least four months before the event. With 3 to 4 training sessions per week, you’ll build a solid foundation for success.

🔄 Combine Different Types of Training:

🚴‍♂️ Endurance training (road bike) – to build stamina and aerobic capacity

⛰️ Resistance and interval training (MTB) – to improve strength, explosiveness, and technical skills

📊 Recommended Training Guidelines:

  • Road training: minimum 3 hours per session

  • Off-road rides: minimum 1.5 hours per session

🕐 In the final five weeks before departure, gradually increase your total weekly training time from about 7 hours to around 11 hours per week to ensure you are optimally prepared.
